Like any other motor shows, Frankfurt and the rest of the world will be in for a surprise. Here is a preview of the convertibles and coupes that will be on the spotlight:

Ferrari 458 Italia

The red stallion will be unveiling a new supercar in the form of a new 458. The 458 Italia will sport a V-8 with 4.5L displacement and outputs a monster 570 horsepower on a combo with 400 pound-feet of torque. The powerplant is coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox which can zoom the Ferrari 458 Italia from 0 to 60mph in a little below 3.4 seconds. Need to ask for the top speed? It is 202mph.

Reventon Roadster from Lamborghini

If there is smoke, there must be fire. It is not yet confirmed if we will really see a Lambo Reventon Roadster in Frankfurt but most likely we will. Talk about uber luxury that there will only be at max 10 of this car which will go into production. At 670 horsepower coming out of a V-12, its price tag speaks at $1.65 million.

2011 SLS AMG from Mercedes-Benz

The 2011 SLS AMG is the new gullwing from Mercedes-Benz. It will take the reign from the SLR Roadster as the leader of the pack. This car doesn’t have a problem going 0 to 60 in just 3.8 seconds

Audi R8 Spyder

This will be the convertible variant of the sportscar from Audi and will most likely have a V-10 in its engine bay.

The upgrades gave the Ferrari 599 GTB with some extra 40 horsepower from its V12 6.0L engine. Without having to change the inner workings of the car, the stallion can give out up to 660hp.

The German tuning company made use of some high performance stainless steel exhaust pipes and fittings. They also tweaked with the electronics of the engine of the Ferrari. The modification gave the car better figures for the ignition and fuel injection and jumped its red line to 8550rpm.

The mechanics of Novitec Rosso gave the 599 GTB more torque and engine power even when revving low. The powerplant also has a crisper throttle response. The team was also able to up the top speed of the Ferrari to 208mph.

Ferrari 599 GTB owners can also go for some aerodynamic upgrades for the side skits designed with bigger cold air intake, bumper with diffuser, side flaps, front lip, a modified rear wing.

Novitec Rosso includes in the set up 20-inch rims for the front set and 21-inches for the rear. These are paire d with Pirelli P Zeros on 355mm. The suspension also gets a treatment with KW aluminum adjustable suspension. The car also gets Brembo calipers on 405mm brakes.

A great work of car tuning – but… out of our budget here, I’m sure!

Now, onto the specs for the Ferrari 458 Italia!  Under the hood, the Ferrari 458 Italia can pump out 562 HP with 398-lb of toque.  It also has a screaming 9,000 RPM!  The best thing about the Ferrari 458 Italia is the fact that this car is not only fast looking but the body is really light weight to keep the speed completely under control.  It is aluminum and it is super light – which is the trend it seems for 2010 or 2011 cars.
