If you are looking to purchase one, you will be in for a shock when you look at its tag price.

The 2013 GT-R Premium base model can be yours for $97,820 which is roughly $,6,870 more than the outgoing GT-R. The Black Edition GT-R 2013 MY can be yours if you shell out at least $107,320 or an increase of around $11,220 from its older sibling.

During an interview with the press, the spokesperson of Nissan responded to the inquiry of how the new sticker prices might shock the market by saying that fans may react but the carmaker is confident with how they play in their market. He adds that the Nissan GT-R competes with other cars which are far more pricey.

The Nissan executive pointed out that the GT-R is more affordable than the 2012 911 Turbo by Porsche that has a tag prie of $138,450 inclusive of a destination charge of $950, The base Nissan GT-R is also cheaper by as much as $14,755 than the 2012 Corvette ZR1 by Chevrolet which goes for at least $112,575 inclusive of a destination charge of $975.

According to studies conducted by Nissan, the average buyer of the GT-R has an income of around $200,000. Most of the buyers are men, married, and between 45 thru 59 years old.

The carmaker still describes the pricey ride as a great ride with an incredible value.

The 2013 GT-R will have performance enhancements like a better engine output from 530 horsepower to 545 hp. Engineers also retuned its suspension while the Black Edition sports a spoiler fabricated from carbon fiber that will be issued on a limited run.

The current model year will depend on a twin turbo 3.8L V6 powerplant that will be mated with a dual clutch six speed gear box.

Nissan forecasts a run of around 10,000 units across their global market for the new GT-R. The United States which is the biggest market of the GT-R expects delivery of around 1,500 units.

Consumers can get the 2013 GT-R in Pearl White, Gun Metallic, Solid Red, Jet Black, and Deep Blue Pearl. There will also be a metallic Super Silver version going thru 4 stages of paint work.

If you are thinking about getting one of the brand new 2010 Nissan Leaf EV … you may want to consider getting it early and you definitely will want to get into a lease … or buy it early. Nissan expects that about 5,000 2010 Nissan Leaf EV will be committed to a lease by 2010, so you better work fast!

By 2012, Nissan actually plans to be out over two billion in their Smyrna, TN factory that will produce upwards of 150,000 electric cars and 200,000 lithium ion batteries per year.

Why? It’s basicly a tuned version of the GT-R, kind of like the RS Porsche 911′s.

According to Exotic Car Rentals Las Vegas, “To perk the engine more, the engineers of the Japanese car maker added a new set of high-gear boost that adds about 15 lbt-ft when the engine roars from a mid speed to an extremely demanding situation. The extra power from 3500 rpm to 5000 rpm is not an issue for the SpecV”.
