The Porsche Boxster Spyder has not been officially revealed yet, but the car — which is heir to the throne of the iconic 550 Spyder, debuted in 1953 — at the upcoming auto show in Los Angeles. Between you and me, it simply can’t happen soon enough.

Porsche has been quoted as saying that the Boxster Spyder is made for driving in the open air. The car is lightweight, it is low slung, its soft top is designed to protect both the driver and the passenger from all kinds of weather, such as bright sun glare, wind, rain, and so on.

The Porsche Boxster Spyder will begin being introduced to the market next year, in February of 2010.
