Speed ratings are actually found on the sidewall of the tire in basically what you will come to know as the service description. The letter following the two or even three digit numerical load index will actually dictate exactly what type of tire and what speed you can drive your car up to.
The table looks something like this:
S: 112 mph
T: 118 mph
H: 130 mph
V: 149 mph
W: 168 mph
Y: 186 mph
These are just a few of the letters that you can look for. Generally speaking, the tires that are going to come on your cars and trucks are going to be ‘s’ or ‘t’ and race cars are generally going to have the other letters. It all just depends.

If you are anything like me – you probably have waited until your tires are almost bald in order to get them replaced. I did that and that is one of the major reasons why I got stuck three times this winter. I did however find some fantastic information for those of you that are looking to get the best tires and certainly make the most of them and that is what we are going to go through in the next couple blogs.
One of the first things that you need to determine is how fast you usually go and how often you drive. If you drive a lot, you might want to make sure that you get some higher-performance tires, as that will definitely ensure that your high speeds will not break your tires.
Did you know that tires actually have speed ranges right on them? That is what we are going to talk about in the next blog – what speed ranges are and how you can spot them!

Dreams are fiercely individual. One person’s dream might be another person’s nightmare. By the same token, typically no one has the exact same dream car. Some people, for instance, dream of trucks rather than cars. Some think there is nothing better than a four wheel drive with jacked up tires.
For some, a dream car consists of something from the bygone days, a fully restored GTO or Malibu or something like that.
Others want something fast. They want four on the floor, something sleek and sexy and speedy.
Still others just want luxury. Jags, BMWs, Porsches, Mercedes’, you name it.
So what is your dream car? What do you wish you could have more than anything? Or do you already have your dream car? How does it feel to have that dream fulfilled?

I have to tell you, I love European cars. More often than not, my dream car changes from month to month, but it typically always comes back to something European. For instance, my favorite brand ever is and always will be Jaguar.
But I also have to tell you, just lately, Peugeot comes in as a very, very close second. They have been coming up with some real beauties lately, and it looks like 2010 is going to be Peugeot’s year.
I mean, just take a look at this concept. This is one of the early, hush hush renderings of the SR1 concept, which will not be officially revealed until the Geneva motor show that takes place early next year.
Just looking at this hot ride makes me want to hop the pond tomorrow, you know what I mean?

Oh, BMW – I swear that you are the brand that I have been waiting to own forever now and I can honestly say that now … I am glad that I waited. Not only is the 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is going to be one of the best cars in the world, but it is also going to be one cool cat … as soon as it comes out.
Basically, the 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is is going to be offered up around the second quarter of 2010 and if you are rich, you are certainly going to want to get your bid in right away – for the price might go up in 2011.
Currently, for the 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is, the price is somewhere around $425,000 but … it could change if you wait. Keep that in mind!

I guess I’m not the only poker player that likes the Lamborghini Gallardo. Pokerstars and Godaddy.com ambassador Vanessa Rousso shares my love for Lambos – and contrary to me, can actually afford one. Whenever you visit Las Vegas from now on – expect the blonde beauty to cruise around the strip in this yellow Gallardo… Here’s a great vid of her showing off her new ride to Cardplayer Magazin’s Cardplayertv.

Now I know that this blog is all about dream cars and the like, but I have to share with you guys some insider news from GM. First and foremost – Saab – you all know Saab right? It’s a Polish car brand that I have been in love with for years. Well, it is actually a brand that is owned by GM and right now, there are some debates about who is going to buy this Polish automaker and what the future holds.
Just in: GM is actually looking at selling off some of the Saab assets to the Chinese. The good news? If Saab finds themselves a buyer before the end of the year, they will not have to become a Chinese-made brand.
GM is trying to unload some of their brands that are not doing so well and Saab is one of them. While Saab was thought to have a buyer earlier this year, the company pulled out and Saab was left behind. What does the future hold for this automaker?

When I think about Ford, usually my first instinct is not that they are a dream car … but that they are a pretty all-American company that produces some good cars, just not dream cars. Well – now they have come up with something that I can get excited about and that is the 2011 Ford Fiesta. This little small car has actually proven itself to be extremely successful and they have sold over 12 million the Fiesta’s lifetime.
Right now – Ford actually seems to be shifting their focus from the big, huge trucks down to the smaller cars that seem to be driving out of the lots by the dozens lately. While the 2011 Ford Fiesta was not originally designed for the US Market, I can tell you that this eco-friendly car is certainly popular in the states.
For that – it is definitely my dream car right now, not only does it get 40mpg, but it looks pretty sweet too!
