GM News: Saab Might Be Sold To China!

saab-badge

Now I know that this blog is all about dream cars and the like, but I have to share with you guys some insider news from GM.  First and foremost – Saab – you all know Saab right?  It’s a Polish car brand that I have been in love with for years.  Well, it is actually a brand that is owned by GM and right now, there are some debates about who is going to buy this Polish automaker and what the future holds.

Just in: GM is actually looking at selling off some of the Saab assets to the Chinese.  The good news?  If Saab finds themselves a buyer before the end of the year, they will not have to become a Chinese-made brand.

GM is trying to unload some of their brands that are not doing so well and Saab is one of them.  While Saab was thought to have a buyer earlier this year, the company pulled out and Saab was left behind.  What does the future hold for this automaker?

The 2011 Ford Fiesta Is Truly A Dream Car!

2011 Ford Fiesta

When I think about Ford, usually my first instinct is not that they are a dream car … but that they are a pretty all-American company that produces some good cars, just not dream cars.  Well – now they have come up with something that I can get excited about and that is the 2011 Ford Fiesta.  This little small car has actually proven itself to be extremely successful and they have sold over 12 million the Fiesta’s lifetime.

Right now – Ford actually seems to be shifting their focus from the big, huge trucks down to the smaller cars that seem to be driving out of the lots by the dozens lately.  While the 2011 Ford Fiesta was not originally designed for the US Market, I can tell you that this eco-friendly car is certainly popular in the states.

For that – it is definitely my dream car right now, not only does it get 40mpg, but it looks pretty sweet too!

2011 Lexus LFA PrototypeWe all know that Lexus is doing some fantastic things for 2011 but do you know exactly what they are doing?  Well, I have to tell you that the 2011 Lexus LFA is actually a prototype right now and it is a car that I have already fallen for and I have barely seen it yet!

The 2011 Lexus LFA has made quite a few appearances in the country and the latest is the LA Auto Show – which is not until December but they came a little early.  The 2011 Lexus LFA came early to the show for a private showing and it actually impressed many of the crowds that saw this car driving on the streets.

While the specs are not out yet for the 2011 Lexus LFA – they should be coming soon.  But just look at the picture, it’s beautiful right?

In just a few days, the Frankfurt Auto Show 2009 will kick off. Reventon RoadsterAfter a long gloom in the auto industry, manufacturers and consumers are hoping that the showcase will brighten some lights for the sales figures.

Like any other motor shows, Frankfurt and the rest of the world will be in for a surprise. Here is a preview of the convertibles and coupes that will be on the spotlight:

How to Find Car Insurance for Your Aston Martin

Finding the right car insurance is not always an easy thing to do and it can be especially challenging if you want to have coverage for a valuable car like an Aston Martin. No matter how expensive or hard to find the right car insurance is expected to be, it is still nothing compared to the costs of an accident. It is worth comparing quotes for your Aston Martin, because these cars are well made and that is even more important to insurance companies than the original price of a car.

Searching the internet is probably the easiest way to find car insurance for your Aston Martin, but even that takes some patience. There are many insurance quote websites that are able to provide quotes from several insurers and you can then compare all of these quotes in regards to price and coverage. Of course the Aston Martin is not a car seen everyday and so a search for insurance companies that specialize in these cars can be done, and often with success.

Another way to find insurance for your Aston Martin is to go to an insurance broker who is also able to obtain quotes from several insurance agencies, or just use this auto insurance quotes site. The advantage of this is that a person can also talk to people working at the insurance companies and they might be able to get you more discounts or the right kind of insurance policy for an Aston Martin. An agent is the best choice for those that own older Aston Martin cars, since the premiums are usually pricier due to hard to find replacement parts.

Caught in the Web of the Porsche Boxster Spyder

Porsche Boxster SpyderHot damn! Sorry for the language, folks, but holy Porsche delicious, Batman, this car is hot! The Porsche Boxster Spyder has not been officially revealed yet, but the car — which is heir to the throne of the iconic 550 Spyder, debuted in 1953 — at the upcoming auto show in Los Angeles. Between you and me, it simply can’t happen soon enough.

Porsche has been quoted as saying that the Boxster Spyder is made for driving in the open air. The car is lightweight, it is low slung, its soft top is designed to protect both the driver and the passenger from all kinds of weather, such as bright sun glare, wind, rain, and so on.

The Porsche Boxster Spyder will begin being introduced to the market next year, in February of 2010.

The Volvo S60 Is Hot, Hott, Hottt!

Volvo S60I am a huge fan of Volvos, as I have probably mentioned at one time or another, so you can probably see why I was immediately drawn to the new Volvo S60. Only the first couple of images have thus far been revealed, as the sedan will not be officially unveiled until March of 2010, during the auto show in Geneva. Still, I definitely like what I see so far.

The S60 is incredibly sporty and it is thought to be much more dynamic than — get this — any other Volvo. Plus, the safety features are enviable, based solely on state of the art technology.

Drivers will be more confident behind the wheel of the Volvo S60, says the President and CEO of Volvo, Stephen Odell. It will even have the option of “Pedestrian Detection,” which will cause the car to brake on its own if a pedestrian is detected in front of the vehicle and the driver does not react quickly enough.

The Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio Is the Cat’s Pajamas

Porsche 911 Turbo CabrioBut in this case, the cat is most definitely wearing lingerie. Risque, dirty lingerie. The kind of lingerie you find in Frederick’s of Hollywood, as opposed to what you find in Victoria’s Secret.

Oh, the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio. As if the Porsche 911 all by itself could possibly get any better. Oh, it just got better, all right. It just got better to the nth degree, in my humble opinion. You cannot even possibly measure this on the hotness scale. On the Richter scale of sexiliciousness, this one goes right through the roof.

I want this car so bad I can taste it. I almost think there is no limit to what I would do to own Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio. Rarely in life have I seen a Cabriolet that I pined for so very, very much.
